This is another bill that’s written in legalese. It’s a language that sorta looks like English, but it’s not ‘plain English’. It’s written like it’s a legal contract, with emphasis on the words ‘protected health care services’, and allowing ‘young adults’ access to these services.
‘Protected health care services’ would include ‘gender affirming care’ and ‘reproductive health care services’ (as detailed in two companion bills: SB 5489 and HB 1469-S).
The question (and indignant objection) is to why would this law would mandate that access be given to those under the age of 18???
First of all any abortion bill needs to be put before the people. Gender affirming care has nothing to do with abortion. I read that 14 youngsters showed up in the capital dressed in pink to support these bills. I do not believe that The People in Washington State goes along with the Inslee Gestapo and both if the bills need to not come to the floor. The Legislature and Inslee have decided to take the voice away from the people but I say he needs to resign along with any Senator or representative that votes for these bills.
